Favorite referencing style

I am most familiar with APA referencing.

Why I became an editor

As an author of novels for young adults, I feel passionate about the power of words to have a positive influence. I love to help people find ways to improve their self-expression. I also have a bizarre fondness for punctuation.

Background and experience

I have years of experience copywriting and copy editing for a charity as a volunteer.
I have also found great satisfaction in helping other novelists improve their work through writer's groups and see proofreading as an extension of that creative process.

Why I love proofreading and editing

I love to see sentences flow clearly and concisely across the page.

Favorite book:

‘A Wizard of Earthsea’ by Ursula Le Guin.

Hobbies:

I meditate, think deep thoughts, and write books that try to be fun and less pretentious than this sentence.

Editing tips:

I like to read a document aloud to see how well it flows. This makes any clumsy sentences stand out!
