Proofed Hits New Milestone of 500 Active Editors!

Growth of the team enables support of more businesses in more industries.

As our team of expert editors at Proofed continues to grow, we have reached the milestone of 500 active editors, including people with specializations in key subject areas such as medicine, life sciences, engineering, marketing, and creative writing. Our editors are also highly qualified, with more than 50% holding a master’s degree and 20% boasting a Ph.D. qualification.

Additionally, every editor on our team has passed the Becoming a Proofreader course with distinction, ensuring that they are familiar with all aspects of the proofreading process.

Furthermore, since our editors are the lifeblood of our business, we have been able to:

• Provide better support to our existing business customers, helping them grow with us.
• Create new business partnerships with a wider range of clients than ever before.
• Offer expert assistance with a greater range of document types and topics, with confidence that we can pair any customer with a subject expert.

Linda, Proofed’s operations manager, says: “We are delighted to have reached the amazing milestone of 500 active editors! This is a very exciting time for us as we’re forging partnerships with new business clients, so it’s wonderful to have so many high-caliber editors who we can call on to join our dedicated editing teams. Our editor support team works very hard to help new editors settle in, and this only makes Proofed, as a whole, stronger!”

The success of our training and support schemes means that we can add an average of 15 new editors to our team per week, and we expect to have 750 active proofreaders soon! 

We have also developed new onboarding and ongoing training processes for our editors (with new features expected to launch in early 2022). This will help our editors streamline their work and deliver the highest-quality results with unmatched turnaround times.

All of the above means that we will continue to expand the services we provide to business customers; it will also aid us in accomplishing our mission to partner with new businesses and help them scale their content production through managed proofreading and editing services.

But we wouldn’t be able to do any of this if it weren’t for the fact that our editors are the best in the business! Working with qualified experts from all backgrounds is fundamental to what we do, so we thank them for their efforts and will continue to support them to be the best.
