To work with Proofed, you need to be based (or registered for tax purposes) in a country that has a dual-tax treaty with the United States and that uses a currency compatible with Proofed’s payment system.
You are welcome to review the full list of eligible countries to see if your location qualifies.

Absolutely! Proofed editors are located across various time zones, and there is generally no issue with changing locations. You can set your preferred time zone within the platform and continue accepting work at your convenience.
Please kindly be aware, however, that you need to be registered for tax in a country compatible with Proofed’s payment system.

Proofed offers a diverse selection of proofreading and editing opportunities, encompassing academic, creative, and business documents. Some clients also request additional services such as formatting and fact-checking alongside proofreading or editing.
While editors are not required to possess these skills to work with us, having a broader skill set can provide access to a wider variety of projects.
The document lengths vary from short blog articles to extensive industry reports, allowing you to choose projects that align with your preferences and fit into your schedules.

All editors at Proofed are self-employed freelancers. This gives you the flexibility to accept as much or as little work as your prefer and at times that suit you. It’s possible to gradually increase your workload to full-time levels over time, however workloads may fluctuate and cannot be assured.
Many editors approach Proofed as a part-time opportunity or as one component of their broader freelance plans.
